Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens
Saw this for the first time the other week and just loved it. Great break from the over the top kitsch of the rest of the strip. For a split second reminded me of Butchart Gardens. I loved the bees. Next time you're in Vegas and need a break from the machines, take a walk over to the Bellagio for a wonderful break.

Museum of Vancouver
Remember the good old days when museums were full of stuffed animals. Deemed a thing of the past, these amazing specimens were shelved away. Celebrating the art form, Museum of Vancouver had a great exhibit a few months ago. My favorite was the moose. I'll never get to see one up close in real life and was speechless when I stood next to this. It was truly an amazingly beautiful animal and had such power and elegance.
I love kitsch! and this display is something right out of my dreams. Very surreal. It was great that it was housed in a TV. I love how the squirrel is not only packed and dressed for travel but I'm a little worried he won't fit on the train or be able to go inside to buy a ticket.

cappuccino foam animal
Ok so here's today's foam animal. Do you see what I see? Again, Nespresso espresso machines are the best!

Nespresso espresso maker
So Paul got a new Nespresso espresso/coffee machine and has been making the most tasty cappuchinos with little treats in the foam. Like clouds in the sky, can you guess the foam friend?
View from Inn at the Market
Here's the view from our room at Inn at the Market. This is what vacations are all about. After enjoying this beautiful sunset we had an amazing dinner at Place Pigale. I love Seattle!

Inn at the Market
I've been dying to go back on vacation to Seattle. Actually, nothings better than waking up in my bed at Inn at the Market, opening the curtains and looking down at Pikes Market. Oohhh!
As far as I'm concerned the ONLY place to stay in Seattle. The location can't be beat. The staff is extra cool. Pike Place Market is steps away.

Pom Pom Hat

Another failed craft project. I decided to make Hoku a pom pom hat.
Good idea in theory but not pretty.
First of all her head is way smaller than I thought and she hated it. Probably because everyone laughed when she had it on.
I think she had flasbacks to her first Christmas. I put on her Santa suit and she ran in the living room. Very proud of her outfit. Everyone laughed and she ran back in the bedroom. I think she felt like Ralphie from the Christmas movie.
